The film traces Srikanth’s struggles from his childhood till now and tells us a true story that is truly inspiring. It is an extraordinary tale of perseverance and achievement, from Srikanth scoring 98 percent marks in school to being denied admission to IIT and then being selected as the first visually impaired international student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Life is challenging for Srikkanth and his poor parents. His father (Srinivas Besetty) has a dream and names him after his favourite cricketer Krishnamachari Srikkanth. He is overjoyed at the birth of his son (Arnav Abdagire), but his happiness is short-lived when he learns that his child is visually impaired.
Soon, she realises her son’s talent for learning, an ability that makes Srikant stand out in his class. However, he is isolated from the rest of the neighbourhood children who bully him because of his disability.
The young student faces many hurdles in his educational journey. The first hurdle comes when his school refuses to admit him in the science stream. Nevertheless, he makes his mark at MIT’s Sloan School of Management, where he emerges as one of the brightest students in his class. He comes back to India in 2012 to create employment opportunities for other visually impaired youth like him. He starts a groundbreaking venture that provides employment to unskilled and disabled individuals to make eco-friendly products.
Rajkummar Rao is incredibly credible as Srikanth Bola. His acting is restrained, his gestures and expressions achieving an excellent sense of realism. However, this is often undermined by the director’s decision to have the camera capture every twitch of his eyebrows and facial expressions, creating a sense of superficiality. As a result, one ends up paying more attention to Rao, the actor, and not the character.
Jyothika is also good as his teacher Devaki. Sharad Kelkar is also impressive as the industrialist friend Ravi Manthi, who is more than just a philanthropist.
hit movie of the 80s Papa says From Aamir Khan film by Anand Milind from doomsday to doomsdayis used as a recurring theme throughout, and though it doesn’t really embody the lead player’s life mission, it succeeds in evoking a sense of nostalgia in the audience. Pratham Mehta’s camerawork is handled competently.
Overall, Tushar Hiranandani, whose earlier works as a director bull’s eye And scam 2023 On OTT platforms, a biopic has been made which instead of focusing on the inspiring and Uplifting story In place of Srikant, she wants to place actor Rajkumar Rao at a higher position.
